NE-Legal Counsel

This is a remote position.

• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements (MSA, SOWs, change orders, addendums, etc) and other agreements (NDAs, vendor agreements, etc).
• Support the Sales team on sales calls by addressing contract and legal concerns raised by prospective customers.
• Oversee daily legal operations, ensuring smooth delivery to both internal and external customers.
• Provide proactive legal advice to internal teams and business units.
• Structure and draft internal policies and procedures.
• Proactively identify potential risks associated with the business units and propose mitigating measures.
• Independently research, analyze and interpret existing laws, statutes and regulations to identify and evaluate issues of legal risk in a commercial context.
• Draft and process corporate documentation.
• Handle project-based work within the scope of the legal department responsibilities.
• Provide general legal assistance.

Requirements

• 3+ yrs of experience in legal corporate practice, in a fast-paced US company environment (nice to have).
• Have a strong understanding of legal terminology.
• Discretion and the ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail and focus on results.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Process-oriented team player capable of coordinating tasks across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to flawlessly speak and write in English (minimum Advanced level) and Spanish.
• Must be able to accomplish goals independently with minimal supervision.

• Experience at US based tech startups.
• Experience in international Tech Recruiting or Software Development services companies.
