Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant community at Bitterne Park School on a fixed-term basis.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our teachers to support students' educational and personal development. You will play a key role in helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can flourish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them to understand and engage with the curriculum.
- Encourage and motivate students, helping to build their confidence and skills.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) by implementing their individual education plans (IEPs).
- Assist in maintaining a positive classroom environment, promoting good behavior and respectful interactions.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance student learning and contribute to the overall success of the school.

Position: Fixed term, 30 hours per week
Salary: Grade 6, £28,792 - £31,022 FTE

Requirements
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their educational journey.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with diverse learners.
- Experience or qualifications in education or child development is desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction from teaching staff.
