About The Role:

  • The Senior Technical Lead, NORTH is responsible for leading the engineering function for one of JLL's key Client portfolios.
  • The role will hold accountability for execution and innovation of all Hard Services delivery and form part of the accounts senior leadership team. The Engineering Lead, NORTH will manage regional managers as well as a central service engineering team.
  • The Senior Technical Lead, NORTH will be a strategic partner with leadership within JLL and with Client stakeholders. Ensuring exceptional customer experience is provided at all levels with detail-oriented approach to service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the technical service team perform as a collaborative and cohesive team reflecting the vision and ambition of the client and JLL
  • Direct Hard Services Management across NORTH locations (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk)
  • Provide effective leadership of the Technical, Energy, Central Service and Project managers to provide the services within the scope, within budget delivering contractual obligations and key performance indicators.
  • Foster and develop an open and one team relationship between the management team, service partners and stakeholders to create a seamless and unified client experience.
  • Ensure that compliance and operational management is maintained both statutorily and organisationally ensuring that policy and legislation are followed in accordance with all required standards in each country.
  • Drive the company vision, values and strategic goals and will be responsible for measuring and driving performance to expected levels and standards.
  • Communicate regularly with the Client stakeholders to build and maintain relationships.
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are fit-for-purpose and that services are delivered and developed in accordance with the standards defined by JLL and the client.
  • Drive innovations and enhancements within the Engineering function across the NORTH in general as well as wider EMEA region.
  • Hold responsibility for contract Management of all M&E, Fabric and hard service partners, vendors and other procured services developing a strong partnering ethos and focus toward service.
  • Identify technical risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
  • Manage business critical/emergency situations and seek to resolve promptly ensuring minimum disruption to the business.
  • All the time working in accordance with health and safety measures and promoting best practice amongst colleagues, contractors and vendors.

Work Life:

  • In the role you will work across our NORTH campus which is currently spread over 8 countries
  • The main business language spoken in our offices is English. French is a plus.  Knowledge of technical communication is essential.
  • You will work independently reporting to the EMEA Engineering Director
  • You will work over a 5-day week, Monday to Friday
  • On occasion you may be required to work weekends or public holidays, this will be arranged in advance
  • On occasion you may be required to travel/be on-call.

About You

  • You have direct experience in directing technical services within a Facilities Management service within a fast paced, high profile environment, preferably in both self-delivered and outsourced engineering services contracts
  • You are a seasoned leader, adept in managing diverse teams across multiple regions
  • You have experience of operational facilities management and managing services to meet KPIs
  • You have knowledge of sustainability practices innovations and energy management
  • You have understanding of building regulations, legislation compliance and best working practice
  • You have experience in financial management and budgeting, identifying cost savings / avoidance
  • You can effectively manage multiple work streams proactively resolving challenges or issues
  • You are confident in presenting information and delivering training to colleagues and peers
  • You think strategically to implement continual improvements to service delivery
  • You thrive on building and maintaining positive client relations and networks at all levels
  • You are open and have strong communication skills
  • You are highly proficient with Word and Excel and have a keen interest in technology
  • You are organized, work efficiently and can meet tight deadlines with professionalism and service focused approach
  • You are adaptable to work to requests and projects that may vary
  • You have a Technical or / and Authorised Person (preferred) qualifications
