Medical Technologist MT or Medical Lab Technician MLT - Hematopathology

The MT/MLT contributes to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients by the accurate performance and reporting of laboratory testing procedures on blood and body fluids. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required.

**This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program**

For MT: Bachelor's degree in a health related field required.

For MLT: Associate degree required. Recent graduate from approved MLT school is minimum experience required. Two to four years experience as medical laboratory technician preferred. 

• Additional Skills and Qualifications: 
• Strong organizational skills and problem solving capabilities required. Experience as a Technologist and good computer skills preferred.

License Or Certification:

Certification from AMT or ASCP in Medical Technology, Med Lab Science or a related specialty, or MLT from ASCP required upon hire, or required within 18 months of hire.
