  HR Generalist 

What You’Ll Be Doing

• Promote and foster positive employee relations by providing an environment that meets the needs and aspirations of all employees by utilizing the Guiding Principles
• Assist in ensuring compliance to company policies/procedures, laws, standards and government regulations
• Assist in completing HRIS records for all employees including retention and maintaining of documents
• Assist in attendance and timecard records including work schedules in the HRIS and complete payroll related systems/processes
• Conduct full cycle recruitment efforts for open positions 
• Develop and conduct orientation programs to integrate new hires and provide professional development opportunities for all employees.
• Responsible for partnering and guiding with managers through employee discipline processes when warranted and make termination recommendations when needed to HR Director. 
• Assist employees with payroll related inquiries and stay current on all benefit & wellness plans and offerings to provide support as needed. 
• Post various company communications on bulletin boards:  overtime postings, open positions, newsletters, etc.
• Ability to process workers compensation and disability claims.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly HR reports as needed
• Assist in scheduling and overseeing employee functions such as service awards banquet, holiday party, employee lunches and recognitions
• Maintain a safe workplace and promote employee health and wellness initiatives

WHAT’S NEEDED FOR YOU TO THRIVE

• Ability to manage and administer a broad range of tasks including resolving complaints, counselling managers and employees on the interpretation of policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of applicable local, state and federal employment, labor laws and governmental compliance requirements, knowledge of immigration laws and processes a plus.
• Ability to build, maintain and foster positive relationships internally and externally.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Exercise a high degree of judgment and maintain confidentiality.
• Must be empathetic, a good listener and exercise consistent and fair treatment of all employees.
• Able to work under own initiative with minimal amount of guidance.

Education And Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is required. 
• 3-5 years of experience in a human resources role.
