A Brief Overview
This critical leadership role within Stanford Medicine's enterprise marketing management team will be responsible for building long lasting relationships with a variety of stakeholders across Stanford Health Care, Stanford Medicine Partners and Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley. Protecting the Stanford Medicine brand and what it stands for as a trusted source for education, research and clinical care is at the core of this position.
This is a tremendous opportunity for the candidate who has a track record of demonstrated results, team leadership, and influential relationships. They'll "see" the big picture and help mentor their team, have an active "voice" with clients, and ultimately, play a significant role in Stanford Medicine's marketing successes.

What you will do
- Nurtures teams to build effective and valued relationships with key stakeholders across Stanford Medicine by providing leadership, education, marketing direction and knowledge-based recommendations
- Advances the use of market research, financial data (as available) and other clinical operation reports to ensure marketing efforts align with business needs and dynamic market conditions
- Uses analytical expertise to assess/monitor data and campaign performance
- Ensures clear communication and effective collaboration between Marketing and other departments
- Guides, inspires and coaches team members to help them achieve their professional goals
- Collaborates cross-functionally to enable consistent application of the Stanford Medicine brand and ensure seamless utilization of clinical content across channels
- Understands the goals and strengths of the Stanford Medicine brand and builds a highly collaborative partnership with clinical and operational leaders across Stanford Medicine
- Partners with all of Marketing to share Book of Business (BoB) knowledge, including priorities, key differentiators, patient and customer benefits and business KPIs
- Creates and fosters relationships at senior levels of executive management and faculty leadership to ensure Marketing is recognized and valued for expertise, knowledge, and results
- Oversees the management of a high performing PMO, ensuring the group meets project deadlines, within budget and on target using program and project management tools
- Manages and has input and combined oversight of the annual Marketing budget
- Collaborates with a variety of internal and external teams to achieve desired results, providing subject matter expertise, leadership, and influence to gain alignment and support across the organization identifying areas for process improvement, operational efficiencies, industry best practices, etc.
Experience Qualifications
- Successful integrated marketing leader with the ability to “see” big ideas and bring them to life.
- Proven client credibility – clients listen to what you say with the ability to set and manage expectations and and effectively push back as needed.
- Has a dogged focus on execution and driving results and can strike a balance between fostering the relationship and doing what’s right for the business and organization; can sell the work, sometimes delivering ideas clients are not comfortable with by providing a compelling vision and an informed POV backed by strong rationale.
- Ten (10) years of progressive responsibility with directly related work experience, including eight (8) years of supervisory responsibility
- Hospital and/or healthcare experience preferred
- Clinical operations and/or revenue and finance background helpful

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $100.03 - $132.51 per hourThe salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
