Introductory Note

The gaming industry is one of the most forward-thinking and fastest-growing sectors in the world. Our clients are passionate, talented individuals who treat us as true partners — recognising the energy and care we put into delivering best-in-class service. As the industry thrives on creativity and innovation, so too does its culture: dynamic, collaborative, and always evolving.

Arena Media reflects this spirit. We are a team of highly motivated, empowered, and imaginative individuals who genuinely enjoy the work we do — and the people we do it with. As part of our gaming team, you’ll join a group of 23 enthusiasts. This role is an opportunity not only to contribute to media innovation across every platform, but to help shape campaigns in one of the most exciting, culturally relevant industries there is.

Role Overview

As an Account Manager at Arena Media, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-profile, multi-market campaigns across our portfolio of iconic gaming clients — including Blizzard, Bethesda, SEGA, Square Enix, Wizards of the Coast, Dovetail Games, and THQ Nordic.

You will work closely with the Account Director and other internal teams to oversee the successful planning, execution and delivery of campaigns. The role spans digital and traditional channels, often requires collaboration across markets and time zones, and may include line management of an Account Executive. Balancing operational precision with creative flair, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, culturally rich, entertainment-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Campaign Management

  • Build and maintain strong day-to-day relationships with clients, becoming a trusted extension of their team.
  • Lead the delivery of campaigns across multiple markets, ensuring all media activity runs smoothly, on time and to budget.
  • Support the senior team in developing bespoke media strategies and buying plans across the full marketing funnel.
  • Be proactive in anticipating campaign milestones, identifying risks, and adapting plans as needed (e.g., changes to release dates or budgets).

Execution & Coordination

  • Oversee the product lifecycle from initial brief through to post-campaign reporting.
  • Coordinate with internal departments including digital, creative, strategy and AdOps to ensure timely campaign delivery.
  • Manage delivery of assets and creative materials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specs and timelines.
  • Manage day-to-day setup and optimisation of campaigns with both vendors and self-serve platforms and relaying insights and changes to clients
  • Produce client-ready documents including contact reports, competitive reviews, campaign summaries, and online status trackers.

Client Servicing & Strategic Input

  • Attend regular client meetings (virtual and in-person) to discuss campaign updates, briefs and planning requirements.
  • Collaborate on the development of market-level strategies for international rollouts.
  • Support in the presentation of insights, post-campaign analysis, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Help organise and run client workshops, strategy sessions, and internal media education sessions.
  • Collaboration & Agency Culture
  • Be an active contributor to Arena’s Gaming team, bringing ideas, energy and best practice to team meetings and cross-client initiatives.
  • Work closely with biddable teams to deliver integrated social media and content strategies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with gaming partners (e.g., IGN, Playwire, Venatus etc.) and keep clients informed on new formats and innovations.
  • Represent Arena at client meetings and gaming industry events; occasional international travel may be required.

Skills & Experience

Required:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a media agency or equivalent media-facing role.
  • Hands-on experience of media planning and buying across both biddable and managed services
  • Experience running or supporting paid social campaigns via self-serve platforms (e.g., Meta Business Manager, Google Ads).
  • Familiarity with insight and planning tools such as GWI, Similarweb, YouGov, and TGI.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • A proactive, solutions-first approach to challenges, with strong attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience working in gaming or entertainment sectors.
  • Experience managing client relationships directly and presenting work.
  • Line management experience or a desire to grow in that area.
  • Passion for gaming and an understanding of the gaming community and culture.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to work on some of the most recognisable brands in gaming.
  • A culture rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and creativity.
  • Ongoing training, development and mentorship within the Havas network.
  • Hybrid working and access to Havas’ King’s Cross Village
