About The Role
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at PwC Australia is responsible for working with leaders across the firm to define technology strategies that improve and grow their businesses. They are also accountable for managing the firm's internal technology solutions, ensuring that these are enabling critical business outcomes for the firm as well as enhancing the delivery effectiveness of our client facing teams.
Reporting to and acting as the delegate for the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the CTO will oversee the Technology Strategy for the firm, will lead the engagement and partnership with the client facing teams, as well as own and manage the firms internal applications.
You’ll help solve complex problems by using your skills in:
- Minimum of 15 years of technology leadership experience, with a track record in managing complex technology functions within large organizations.
- Extensive experience overseeing technology strategy, architecture, global finance systems, software development, and business relationship management.
- Proven executive leadership abilities with strong strategic planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
In this role, your impact will be seen by:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute technology strategies for the firm, in alignment with PwC Australia's business objectives.
- Represent the organization's technology interests at the executive level, acting as the CIO’s delegate in critical discussions and decision-making processes.
- Cultivate a forward-looking technology culture and vision that anticipates business needs and fosters agility and adaptability.
Operational Excellence:
- Lead technology operations, optimizing performance, reliability, and security.
- Ensure scalable and efficient IT systems that support business growth and performance goals.
- Establish and manage a technology risk management program, ensuring compliance and resilience.
Team Leadership And Development:
- Build, mentor, and lead the strategy & architecture, business relationship management, iPower, and EF development teams.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and development within PWC
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure cohesive and integrated technology strategies and practices.
Vendor And Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with key technology vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality service.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across PwC Australia and PWC Global Technology to ensure technology initiatives are aligned with business needs.
Budget And Resource Management:
- Develop and manage technology budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions that meet strategic goals.
- Optimize resource allocation to maintain balance between strategic initiatives and operational needs.
