The Microsoft Silicon Engineering Solutions and Cloud Hardware Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) team is responsible for developing and delivering the hardware and firmware that is responsible for powering Microsoft’s “Intelligent Cloud” mission. SCHIE delivers the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform globally with our server and data center infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability solutions. We are seeking a talented UEFI firmware manager who is passionate about building high performance team and creating products with highly availability and secured firmware solutions for Microsoft Azure Cloud Server platforms. The candidate would contribute to the Microsoft cloud server firmware feature definition, design, implementation, FW project development and deployment and collaborate closely with program management, hardware engineers, validation, manufacturing, cloud service teams and external ODM/OEM partners.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Lead a talented Firmware engineering team in developing and implementing firmware code for new SCHIE hardware products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-geo teams, including hardware engineers and product managers, to define firmware requirements and ensure alignment with product goals.
- Oversights of the entire firmware development lifecycle, from design to deployment, including code reviews, testing, and maintenance.
- Drive innovation in firmware design to enhance performance, reliability, and security of hardware products.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- 10+ year of experience managing UEFI development engineering team including Windows & Linux Host UEFI Project and open source development methodology and tools
- Proven track record of collaboration managing cross geo engineering team in a multinational environment
- Proven experience of driving product developments life cycle and platform features
- 5+ year of proven track record of successful managing firmware project delivery and team leadership
- Excellent communication for both written and spoken

- 7+ year of experience managing UEFI Firmware development engineering team
- Proven track record of collaboration managing cross geo engineering team in a multinational environment
- Proven experience of driving product developments life cycle and platform features
