Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Interior Design provides and manages all aspects of franchised, managed or corporate interior design services for new construction, renovation and conversion projects across Luxury brands in the Caribbean and Latin America and has a strategic goal focus.

Scope

The Senior Manager Interior Design is responsible for multiple Marriott Luxury Brands, new-build and renovation projects throughout the CALA region.
•    Location requirements:  Florida, Washington D.C., Tri-state area.
•    Language Requirements:  English, Spanish (preferred).
•    Travel Requirements:  40% business travel required.
 

Expected Contribution

Global Design / Interior Design Leadership:
•    Manages the complete design process and documentation package for interior design of a hotel project commensurate with the hotel brand image of excellence in quality of design and aesthetic appeal gaining the trust and respect of both internal and external customers.
•    Reviews and comment on interior design drawings and specifications submitted by Interior Design consultants within the time constraints, ensuring that the designs are brand compliant and on strategy for all areas of existing and new development hotel projects.
•    Provide overall direction to professional design teams as to the design strategy of new and acquired properties while establishing brand standards, and operational acceptability within reasonable financial constraints.

CANDIDATE PROFILE - KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED 

REQUIRED:
•    Minimum 10 years’ experience in the design field in total, preferably in the Luxury hospitality design industry.
•    Experience with new builds, conversions, and renovation projects. 
•    Strong background in FF&E selection and specification.
•    Completed experience in large-scale hotels & resorts project execution.
•    In-depth knowledge of lodging development, design and construction and ability to take a leadership role in the development of site planning, due diligence, design execution and construction management.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION:
•    Baccalaureate degree in a relevant field (architecture, interior design, construction/project management).  
•    Professional accreditation and/or association membership preferred.
 

Florida Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $98,400 to $149,500 annually. 

Washington, DC Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $108,300 to $164,400 annually.
