Manager, Finance

You Will Be Responsible For:

• assisting the Head, Finance to lead the finance team and ensure that the finance records are accurate, review and formulate financial strategies, policies and operational procedures to ensure compliance with directives from the Boards and Committees, statutory requirements and accounting standards and consistency with the business objectives of the Authority;
• assisting the Head, Finance to act as business partner with internal stakeholders to ensure robust operational controls and an internal control system is in place;
• assisting the Head, Finance to conduct periodic business reviews to ensure that business initiatives are aligned to objectives while the business performance is within the approved budget parameters and guidelines;
• preparing monthly financial reports and analyses to the Board, Committees, executive team and internal stakeholders on a timely and accurate basis with incisive and succinct commentaries;
• preparing the financial and cashflow analysis for new capital expenditures and business initiatives to ensure they are within the parameters approved by the Boards and Committees, and supported by adequate funding;
• managing financial audits and working with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory standards;
• leading automation initiatives and digitisation transformation, driving continuous improvement in financial reporting and transactional systems and processes; and
• performing other duties commensurate with the position of Manager, Finance and performing such services from time to time as WKCDA may reasonably direct.

You Should:

• possess a recognised university degree with professional qualifications in Finance, Accounting or relevant discipline;
• have a membership of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants or equivalent;
• have at least 8 -10 years of experience in finance, accounting or auditing, preferably gained in a large organisation (experience in operational finance will be an advantage);
• have good knowledge in ERP systems, financial modelling, business controls and management reporting (project leadership experience in system implementation, process automation and digital transformation will be a plus);
• be detail-minded while having the ability to think creatively and out of the box;
• be a good financial advisor with good team spirit;
• have the ability to engage and communicate with multiple stakeholders;
• have excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills; and
• be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
