DNV – Maritime Region Southeast Asia, Pacific & India is hiring a Surveyor to join its India Maritime Team, focusing on certifying materials and components used in the marine industry. The role is ideal for engineering graduates with 4–8 years of experience in production, quality control, or design—preferably with marine industry exposure. Responsibilities include certification of machinery, electrical, safety, and environmental components, with opportunities for mentorship and technical engagement. The position involves travel across India and abroad, with initial training followed by placement in Southern India.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Certify materials, machinery, electrical components, and safety/environmental systems used in the maritime industry.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and DNV standards.
  • Liaise with manufacturers and clients across Southern India.
  • Travel within India and internationally as required.
  • Receive mentoring and technical support from DNV approval engineers.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and certification requirements.

  • Graduate/Post-graduate qualification, e.g MEng, MSc, or equivalent preferably in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering/Mechanical Engineering with strong academic results.
  • General knowledge on Maritime.
  • 4-8 years of experience in production, quality control or design.
  • Good communication skills with cross language capability, overcoming culture barriers to enhance team performance.
  • Fluent spoken and written English. 
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel within India and abroad.
  • Interest to work in an international environment.
