Junior Accounts Receivable Accountant

The Global Centre Finance delivers high quality services to European countries related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Record to Report processes. Services are rendered in close collaboration with the GSS Finance Regional Centers, together developing the Global Shared Service Finance function for DNV.

We are seeking Junior Accounts Receivable Accountant for the Global Centre GSS Finance based in Gdynia, Poland.

Junior Accounts Receivable Accountant will be reporting to the Team Leader of AR Section. Junior Accounts Receivable Accountant will be member of a team of AR accountants, ensuring cash allocation activities are performed on time, accurately and in compliance with corporate guidelines.

To succeed in this role, you are to be a team player with ability to create an atmosphere of motivation and enthusiasm. You will be playing a key role in delivering the services within shared service center.

Key Tasks:

• Daily cash allocation process to customer accounts
• Investigating and reporting Bank/General Ledger discrepancies pertaining to receipts from daily bank reconciliations
• Working with external customers and internal collectors to reconcile any payment/billing discrepancies
• Reconciling Accounts Receivable Sub-ledger against General Ledger
• Handling all internal and external queries regarding cash allocation/bookings
• Ensuring that AR write-offs are properly authorized as per chart of authority before submitting for booking
• Spotting errors and making proper corrections
• Showing initiative and providing input to implement process improvements

• Master’s/ Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting/ Economics
• Experience of Accounts Receivable processing will be an advantage
• Knowledge of Oracle preferred or any ERP system
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent English skills required, written and verbal
• Additional European language will be an advantage.
