About the role 💼

As a Junior Legal Counsel at Flanks, you’ll support our business by ensuring that all operations run smoothly within a compliant and secure legal framework. You’ll draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, handle regulatory inquiries, and conduct legal research with a strong focus on the fintech sector. Your work will help identify and mitigate legal risks, refine internal policies and workflows, and keep the company aligned with evolving regulations. By enabling sound decision-making and safeguarding our operations, you’ll play a key role in strengthening Flanks’ growth and long-term trust with clients and partners.

What you'll do 🛠️

Here’s what you can expect to work on:

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize commercial agreements nd other legal documents essential for the company’s business operations.
• Ensure adequate response to inquiries from regulatory authorities and/or third parties concerning the business activities.
• Undertake legal research and manage legal risks in relation to the company's operations, with a particular focus on the fintech sector.
• Keep up to date to ensure that the company complies with all relevant regulations.
• Draft, review, manage and refine internal legal processes, policies and workflows.

What we'd love to see 😍

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Law from a recognised university.
• 1+ year of relevant experience in a legal role.
• Good knowledge of contract law, commercial law, corporate law, data privacy (GDPR) and relevant industry regulations in Spain and Europe.
• Business-oriented approach to problem-solving and ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-lawyers effectively.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• Proactive and business-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while managing multiple critical projects and competing deadlines.
• Language Proficiency: Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish to collaborate effectively in our bilingual environment 🗣️.
