Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support operations at a large, high-profile client site in Macquarie Park. In this senior position, you will act as the second in charge, providing operational leadership to ensure smooth day-to-day service delivery while enabling the Technical Operations & Account Manager to focus on technical operations.
The ideal candidate will be a strong relationship builder with excellent organisational skills, capable of balancing compliance, reporting 📊, and stakeholder engagement. A trade or engineering background is desirable but not essential - what’s most important is your ability to lead a team, adapt to challenges, and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily contract operations and ensure compliance with client requirements.
- Manage, mentor and develop a team of 10 comprising Facilities Managers / Admin and reporting support staff across Retail and Corporate sites, dispersed nationally.
- Lead reporting processes, including financial, operational, and performance reports.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted partner.
- Support the Technical Operations & Account Manager by handling operational and administrative functions.
- Drive service excellence across sites with aged infrastructure ⚙️.
Education, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Previous experience in portfolio facilities management, contract management, or a related field.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
- High level of organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with reporting and administration.
Desirable:
- Trade or engineering background.
- Experience managing complex, multi-site portfolios.
- Exposure to technical or aged infrastructure environments.
