We are looking for a Prep Cook to join our Market Kitchen team! Our Prep Cooks are responsible for creating, assembling, presenting, and serving our fabulous food offerings in our deli. Key Details

• Part-time (minimum 20 hours a week) or Full-time opening
• Hours of operations range from 6am - 8pm
• This role must be available to work weekends and Tuesdays

Job Summary

Prepares items and ingredients for cooking. Cooks, garnishes, and plates products served. Responsible for maintaining sanitary kitchen workstation. Assists customers with ordering and selecting food options.

Responsibilities

• Complies with all portion sizes, quality, ingredient standards, department rules, policies and procedures.
• Follows recipe specifications to prepare menu items in accordance with pre-determined costs.
• Prepares items for cooking by peeling, paring, coring, portioning, washing, sectioning, zesting, cutting, or scoring.
• Covers, dates and neatly stores and rotates all products.
• Requisitions items needed to produce food choices, notifies Kitchen steward as ordering needs occur.
• Maintains sanitary workstation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

Works in a non-smoking, normal store environment where there is not physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, etc.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent
• Previous experience in food service industry
