Working Student - FP&A / Controlling (m/f/d)

PTV Logistics is seeking a motivated working student for its Financial Planning & Analysis / Controlling department. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial controlling and business intelligence while contributing to critical data infrastructure projects. The working student will play a key role in establishing robust cost allocation frameworks and enhancing our financial reporting capabilities. 
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments. This role provides valuable exposure to enterprise financial systems and strategic decision-making processes, making it perfect for students pursuing a career in finance or controlling. The position will be supervised by the FP&A team leadership and based at our Karlsruhe headquarters office. 

• Lead the development of a comprehensive data cube by assessing and reallocating historical costs for the past two years, with immediate priority on 2025 data, ensuring accurate functional cost allocation.
• Collaborate directly with cost center owners to validate cost allocations and ensure alignment with organizational structure and reporting requirements.
• Partner with Controllers and Accountants to establish processes ensuring costs are correctly booked to appropriate functions and cost centers on an ongoing basis.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in data quality management, specifically focused on enhancing our Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) data cube accuracy and reliability.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly management reports, providing analytical support and insights on key financial and operational metrics.
• Assist in streamlining reporting processes through the implementation and optimization of Business Intelligence tools, driving efficiency in financial reporting workflows.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, Business Informatics, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn BI tools (Qliksense, Power BI, or similar).
• Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cost center owners and cross-functional teams.
• Structured, independent working style with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principles and financial reporting structures.
• Fluent English language skills required, German language skills are a plus.
• Available for 15-20 hours per week with flexibility during month-end closing periods.
