Sr. Lead, Social Media Activation 

The Media & Digital Platforms (M&DP) team within Bayer’s Consumer Health division is seeking a Sr. Lead, Social Media Activation to help support the strategy, execution, and optimization of paid social campaigns across National platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, Reddit, X). At Bayer Consumer Health, we manage iconic brands like Claritin, One-A-Day, MiraLAX, Midol, Afrin, Alka-Seltzer and many more in the over-the-counter healthcare space.  

In this role, you will be a critical member of the M&DP team, offering a unique opportunity to actively bridge the gap between media, creative agency and brand, while leveraging the latest technology to drive best-in-class paid social outcomes. 

To be successful in this role, you must possess a unique blend of strategic thinking, sharp analytical skills, social creative insights, and strong hands-on keyboard execution experience. This position will require a strong understanding of the holistic social landscape and a keen sense of where the industry is headed to keep Bayer Consumer Health on the cutting edge of social media. 

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role are to: 

  • Seamlessly execute campaign launches in social platforms, including all campaign/ad set/ad set up, tagging and trafficking activities with high level of attention to detail to ensure reporting and measurement accuracy 
  • Proactively monitor daily campaign performance to identify optimizations that maximize return on social ad spend, scale investment and ensure brand objectives are met on an ongoing basis  
  • Continuously test and improve optimizations that can be applied portfolio-wide to generate YoY ROI growth from digital media investment  
  • Report on paid social media activations to media strategy, brand and agency teams, and make proactive recommendations for targeting, bidding and creative adjustments 
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to reach Consumer Health and individual brand goals by participating in new technology, inventory, data, creative and attribution partnerships 
  • Triage and escalate campaign launch and management issues  
  • Flex focus outside of paid social responsibilities into the larger social media ecosystem including but not limited to: organic social, community management, social listening, social content development 

Who You Are

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: 

Required:

  • 7+ years' work experience  
  • 4+ years experience at a major digital platform, ad tech start up or brand as a hands on keyboard team member leveraging a leading social media ad buying platform 
  • 1+ years experience working in social media other than a paid social media capacity (creative/content, social listening, social community management, etc.) 

Preferred:

  • Ability to analyze and draw meaningful & actionable insights from data 
  • Advanced knowledge of media buying strategy with a focus on Social Media Ad Platforms, channels and formats  
  • Proficiency with all major Social Media ad management interfaces and bidding tools (Ex. Meta, TikTok & Pinterest and others) 
  • Proactive self-starter and able to work in collaborative, matrixed, dynamic and fast-paced environments 
  • Proficient with Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Proven ability to work quickly and decisively to meet deadlines and troubleshoot issues 
  • Strong project management skills; detail-oriented and able to coordinate multiple projects 
  • Track record of promotions and increasing responsibility at a company 
  • Ambition to grow with the company and take on more responsibility 
  • Clear communicator able to support POVs with solid rationale 
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills 
  • Bachelor’S Degree

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $100k-150k. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive program (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
