Job Description

The role involves performing profit and loss calculations for various financial instruments and managing complex fee and waterfall structures, particularly within hedge funds, private equity, and REITs. It requires strong analytical and accounting skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and effective client communication capabilities.

**Please note: This role will be a dedicated resource for one of our premiere clients.  The candidate is required to be onsite, 5 days a week, at the client’s Stamford, Connecticut office** 

What You’Ll Do

  • You'll work with a wide range of financial instruments—including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and foreign exchange—focusing on accurate profit and loss calculations.
  • You'll apply your deep understanding of waterfall structures (American & European) and perform complex management fee and performance allocation calculations.
  • You'll leverage your knowledge of REIT structures, including tax implications, distribution mechanics, and regulatory considerations.
  • You'll bring strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You'll communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, backed by your expertise in alternative investment funds (hedge and private equity).

  • The salary for this position will be dependent on experience and location ($135,000-$160,000).

Qualifications

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
  • You bring over 8 years of experience in the financial services industry, with strong expertise in fund accounting, financial reporting, and alternative investment funds (hedge and private equity).
  • You possess deep knowledge of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX, etc.) and their PnL calculations, along with experience in complex management fee and waterfall (American & European) calculations.
  • You communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, backed by strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You are hard-working, detail-oriented, and committed to a full-time, in-office role, with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
