We have an opportunity for a Senior Access Planning Coordinator to join us! This role will see you delivering scheduling, coordination, and facilitation of planned outages of the electricity distribution network ensuring safety of personnel, public and plant, achieving organisational targets, minimising costs, re-work and impact on customer supply reliability.
With a 3/2 hybrid split (3 days in-office, 2 days WFH), this role is based in Melbourne CBD and is part of the Network Operations & Delivery team within our Distribution line of business.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Facilitate safe and secure access to the network for planned works (e.g. for maintenance or installation of assets). Includes understanding customer impact and notification, maximising incentive schemes, ensuring reliability and system security maintained
- Ensure compliance is maintained by actively engaging with stakeholders and maintaining awareness of relevant legislation, laws, regulations and standards
- Work in accordance with AusNet Services Policies and Procedures with particular attention to Distribution Network Access
- Operational access request activities (including customer notifications)
- Develop, assess, modify and submit high quality, accurate and effective Switching Schedules for approval for planned and emergency works
You don’t need to tick every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of the AusNet Electricity Distribution Network elements, operational policies, procedures, reporting and codes of practice
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Code of Practice on Electrical Safety in the VESI (Blue/Green Book)
- Advanced Electrical operational switching knowledge associated with an electricity distribution network
- Advanced Electrical operational knowledge to enable writing of complex switching schedules to ensure safe access to the electricity network
- Applied experience with a Distribution Management System required
- Focused and methodical approach to executing tasks with particular attention to detail
- Displayed digital dexterity to adopt new technologies to improve the network, customer experiences and the way we work
- Experience with stakeholder management when liaising with entities who have high voltage connections
