EEG Technologist – Remote Monitoring & On-Site Support
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EEG Technologist to join our team. This role involves real-time remote monitoring of EEG, EMU, LTM, and sEEG studies (up to 4 concurrent studies), as well as occasional on-site responsibilities such as patient unhooking at the conclusion of EEG studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Remotely monitor EEG, EMU, LTM, and sEEG studies in real-time.
- Perform routine EEG procedures across various modalities.
- Unhook patients at the conclusion of EEG studies as needed.
- Accurately recognize and differentiate normal and abnormal EEG patterns across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.
- Document patient seizure semiology with precision.
- Maintain professional communication with patients and medical staff.
- Operate and troubleshoot EEG equipment and other major systems (Cadwell, Nihon Kohden, Xltek, etc.).
- Work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required; additional education preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of EEG experience.
- ABRET board-certified R.EEG T. required (CLTM preferred or eligible).
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology related to EEG.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- Secure, HIPAA-compliant remote workspace free from unauthorized viewing.
- Reliable internet connection with backup capability.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including first and/or third shifts.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to maintain and manage EEG equipment and supply inventory.
