Senior Frontend Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will help shape both design systems and frontend applications that power seamless digital experiences for users. You’ll build and maintain scalable, accessible, and high-performance web components and applications, used by 150+ internal teams and end-users worldwide.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers in a cross-functional, agile environment.

Your Role

• Develop and maintain accessible, user-friendly, and reusable web components for our design system and feature applications.
• Work with React, Remix/Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS to deliver high-quality, production-ready features.
• Integrate with backend services using GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Take ownership of technical topics such as accessibility (a11y), internationalization (i18n), performance optimization, and API consistency.
• Embrace the “You build it, you run it, you love it” mindset, taking full ownership of features from design to deployment.
• Safeguard quality by ensuring backward compatibility, scalability, and maintainability across systems.
• Drive architecture and UI/UX discussions, proposing improvements and aligning with company standards.
• Write robust automated tests (unit, integration, and E2E) and participate actively in code reviews.
• Contribute to and enhance our CI/CD pipelines and automated testing workflows.

Your Profile

• Fluent In English.

• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience.
• Expert in React (hooks, context, advanced patterns like HOCs) and TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of modern CSS, ideally with Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with design systems, component libraries, and Storybook.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS fundamentals.
• Skilled in state management, performance optimization, and scalable component architecture.
• Strong testing mindset, with hands-on experience in unit, integration, and E2E testing.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Docker, and modern development workflows.
• Comfortable with ESLint, Prettier, and other dev tooling.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional agile teams.
• Experience with web components (Stencil, Lit).
• Familiarity with Angular or other frameworks.
• Full-stack capabilities (while focusing on frontend).
• Exposure to monitoring tools and operational ownership of applications.
• Contributions to open-source projects or developer communities.
