Job Purpose
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Material Data Analyst this role is Responsible for monitoring, measuring, and reporting inventory data in accordance with Finance requirements, ensuring compliance with internal inventory control policies and inventory accuracy. Additionally, this role coordinates Cycle Count activities and the Annual Physical Inventory. Serves as the primary contact for SAP-related issues and end-user support.
Key Responsibilities
- Create part numbers in SAP as needed.
- Monitor the web portal and resolve Master Data issues.
- Coordinate and update the “MA” process in SAP BOMs. Monitor interfaces and release BOMs/changes in SAP.
- Ensure adherence to internal inventory control policies and inventory accuracy (identify root causes of discrepancies and implement corrective actions).
- Coordinate Cycle Count activities and the Annual Physical Inventory.
- Manage the reporting and resolution process for Excess and Obsolete inventory.
- Ensure improvement actions from the PC&L department are captured and implemented.
- Monitor, measure, and report inventory data per Finance and Division PC requirements (net and gross API variance, E&O).
- Coordinate SAP user access. Review and monitor negative inventory levels in the system.
- Collaborate with PC&L counterparts at the manufacturing plant to set priorities and coordinate engineering change effectiveness.
- Work with Finance to resolve cost-related issues in BOMs or Master Data configuration.
- Use the BOM Compare Tool daily to ensure SAP data integrity.
- Respond to emergency COP requests to create Material Masters due to IDOC errors in SAP.
- Review BOMs/changes in the interface before releasing them in SAP.
- Execute Master Data attribute scripts in SAP as directed by Global PC&L.
- Maintain hazardous material classifications and resolve discrepancies with Engineering. Create a Change Master for each Material Master update.
- Support the Purchasing Department in emergency cases requiring Material Master creation for SA generation.
What we’re looking for
- Schooling: Degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or Industrial Engineering
- Experience Time in similar position: 3 to 5 years in a similar role
- Technical knowledge required: SAP expertise, understanding of materials department operations, manufacturing processes, and interdepartmental relations.
- Other requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- English Requirement: Conversational / Business Level
