Position: Art Director

What You Will Do:

The Altra Art Director is responsible for concepting, designing and producing brand and product level assets for integrated campaigns, retail programs, eCommerce, social and IRL event activation. You’ll work closely with our creative leadership team to help Altra break through and stand out, while developing your skills in a small, entrepreneurial team environment.

You keep up with design, photography, social and digital/interactive trends on a regular basis and have a passion for (or genuine interest in) running, the outdoors, apparel and footwear.

How You Will Make a Difference:
 

• Provide creative thinking and design across all Altra needs; integrated campaigns, website assets, landing pages, emails, digital banners, social media, video, print ads and mailers, etc.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Art Director, Associate Creative Directors, Copy Writers, Marketers and other Altra teams to develop, create and design campaigns as well as tactical executions.
• Demonstrate extreme attention to detail across all work.
• Assist eCommerce product photography shoots (studio shoot experience preferred).
• Meet with traffic manager/production manager/marketing as required to ensure timely, accurate completion of assigned projects.
• Always meet established deadlines.
• Perform occasional additional duties as deemed appropriate by the creative team leaders.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 2-4+ years' experience in an agency or in-house Art Direction or Graphic Design Role.

Requirements:

• Online portfolio must show strong conceptual and design skills.
• Experience and comfort working in a fast-paced creative team environment.
• Ability to manage workload, deadlines and schedule with some guidance and supervision.
• Proficient in Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat).
• Able to build, design and maintain presentations (Using Microsoft PPT)
• Ability and knowledge of digital best practices and responsive design.
• Attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and pride in the process of making and presenting great work.
• Willingness and ability to take direction from CD and ACD, listens to and applies constructive criticism to their own work as well as that of others.
• Proactively seeks out improvement, training and growth opportunities.

Nice To Haves:

• Knowledge of social platforms and ability to shoot/edit content.
• Abilities in other creative software such as Figma, Procreate, After Effects.
• Interest or skill in animation/motion graphics.

Hiring Range:

$70,848.00 USD - $88,560.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
