About The Role
This role is responsible for claims processing, ensuring customer satisfaction and high service standards. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of insurance claims handling, flexibility to work across multiple platforms to efficiently provide an accurate claim decision, maintain a reliable claim documentation and/or resolve customer issues in a timely and efficient manner.Roles And Responsibilities:
- Process insurance claims with precision by evaluating coverage, calculating benefits while ensuring compliance to Insurance and Company guidelines and policies.
- Appraises and approves death and living benefit claims within approval limits. Secures Underwriting, Legal, Medical input when necessary.
- Appraises claims beyond authorized approval limits, prepares analysis and recommended course of action and submits to Senior Claims assessor/Claims Assessment Lead for second level review and approval.
- Closely coordinate with the Senior Claims Assessor or Claims Assessment Lead, to resolve complex claims and contribute to process improvements
- Attends to claim inquiries ranging from basic to complex in nature
- Ensures proper documentation of cases evaluated and maintains the confidentiality of claims records
- Represents AIA in court hearings, as required, involving cases appraised within approval limits
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Graduate of any four-year course. A medical/allied medical science would be an advantage
- Computer literate
- Very good analytical, judgement, comprehension, and conceptual thinking skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, systematic
- Patient and interested to learn and familiarize self with provisions of the medical or law materials, and review and scrutinize various documents
- Can work independently and decisive yet still possess effective interpersonal relationship skills and can still be a team player
- Can work ably under pressure and multi-task
- With strong client service orientation and good sense of urgency
- With above average written and verbal English communication skills
- With good attendance and punctuality record
