Purpose
Maintain master building models and integrate changes into the system of record.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and prioritize work assignments, coordinate site visits with building managers and occupants as appropriate, and update work tasks to convey progress. Perform field verification of built conditions using a variety of methods including, but not limited to, laser range finder and/or a portable laser scanning device.
- Validate, correct, and improve buildings models using original construction documents, project drawings, lidar scans, and manual field measurements/observations to accurately reflect the built environment. Quality check completed work. Standardize models as needed to comply with campus standards.
- Export floor changes into the system of record to provide related records for campus needs. Transform data into other formats as required for business systems. Perform data analysis to prepare graphics or reports for senior staff decision making, presentations, and meetings for business accountability and planning.
- In accordance with HRSS recommendations, complete timesheets in Workday and submit for approval by Monday following the work week. Record daily services/tasks in accordance with departmental expectations in support of metrics and KPIs by Monday following the work week.
- Coordinate priorities and workload with section lead to satisfy operational goals. Communicate progress and escalate obstacles appropriately. Collaborate with team on projects and assignments. Perform tasks to support continuous improvement for the department. Recommend process and workflow improvements as appropriate. Learn new technologies as appropriate.
- Follow section procedures for document management, retrieval and distribution to ensure the quality, accuracy, and security of the computer based graphical data.
- Represent department in a professional manner. Deliver high-quality and responsive customer service. Communicate effectively and professionally. Handle confidential information with tact and comply with university policies.
- Other related functions as assigned. Drive UT vehicle as needed. Position is hybrid (3 days in-person).
Required Qualifications
High School graduation or GED. Experience using task tracking software. 2-5 year’s experience using AutoCAD. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
Certificate or degree in relevant field. Previous higher education employment. Experience using point clouds. Experience using LIDAR collection devices. One year’s experience using Revit.
Driving Required
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
Salary Range
$70,000 + depending on qualifications
