SCIB (www.santandercib.com) is looking for a for an Associate to join our Chile Investment Banking team based in Santiago.
This is an opportunity to play a critical role in the origination and execution of strategic M&A and Equity Capital Markets transactions in one of the most dynamic economies in Latin America.

What You Will Be Doing
As an Associate in the SCIB Chile Investment Banking team, you will play a key role within SCIB in Chile. You will support the origination and execution of Chile based M&A and Equity Capital Markets mandates, which include cross-border dynamics from either the buyer or seller side.
You will be involved throughout the entire transaction lifecycle—from preparing marketing materials and conducting financial analysis to crafting and delivering presentations to clients.
This role offers a valuable opportunity to deepen your investment banking expertise and grow into a senior banker.
We’re looking for someone like you to contribute across multiple fronts:
- Coordination and execution of transactions, engaging with senior team members and client C-Level to explore strategic alternatives, originate new mandates, and manage live deal processes.
- Build detailed financial models to assess the impact of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, and capital raises on earnings, cash flows, credit metrics, and ownership structures.
- Perform company valuations using methodologies such as discounted cash flow (DCF), leveraged buyout (LBO), and comparable company analysis; prepare high-quality presentations.
- Participate in client meetings and interactions, gaining exposure to senior decision-makers at large corporates and financial sponsors.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial mindset, with a proactive approach to both origination and execution.
Experience
3-5 years of mandatory experience in M&A and/or akin such as Private Equity, Business Development, and Corporate Finance
Education and other requirements
- Graduate from top-tier business/engineering schools.
- Employment permit in Chile
