The Senior Team Lead - Tax Software Projects Is Responsible For Managing And Delivering Tax Software Projects In Alignment With Organizational Goals. This Role Involves Coordinating Cross-Functional Teams, Ensuring System Integrity, And Driving Continuous Improvement In Tax Technology Solutions. The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Technical Expertise, Leadership Capabilities, And A Proactive Approach To Problem-Solving And Stakeholder Engagement.

About The Role:

Ensure Timely Delivery Of Projects As Per Management-Defined Roadmap.

  • Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders and provide guidance to team members.
  • Oversee template creation and data mapping for seamless integration into SPbinder
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and optimal software functionality.
  • Supervise input form design aligned with UI/UX and functional requirements
  • Define and design software applications for efficient data flow and integration.
  • Manage annual and regular updates to tax software systems.
  • Ensure compliance with tax year requirements and maintain system accuracy.
  • Implement QA practices and risk mitigation strategies, Conduct proactive system maintenance and testing across environments, Oversee data updates across environments for consistency and reliability.
  • Conduct scenario-based testing to validate software performance, Engage in team meetings and promote knowledge sharing.
  • Demonstrate continuous learning in tools, software, and U.S. tax laws ,Assess resource needs and collaborate with HR for recruitment.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Innovation teams to enhance in-house applications.

About You:

  • Knowledge of third-party tax software: GoSystem Tax RS, CCH Axcess, UltraTax CS Suite, Lacerte.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft SQL.
  • AI first mindset and ability to infuse AI within the existing processes to build efficiencies and robust analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power BI, VBA).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in bulk testing and multi-environment testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (e.g., ADO, JIRA, MS Project).
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Understanding of U.S. tax workflows and compliance requirements.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) – PMI Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Excel Expert
  • SQL Server Certification (Microsoft or equivalent) ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level
  • Understanding of U.S. tax regulations and documentation standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Systems, Data Analytics, or Project Management.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree or diploma in Information Systems, Data Analytics, or Project Management. Technical certifications in SQL, Excel, or tax software are a plus.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in tax technology, software implementation, or project management. Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects,Experience working in a global delivery model and managing client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. tax regulations and documentation standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and foster a culture of learning.
