The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $103,939.20- $129,924
Job Summary
Avangrid is seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to join our Talent Acquisition (TA) team. This important role will focus on streamlining workflows, enhancing processes, analyzing recruiting data, developing KPI’s and ROI methodology, and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the talent acquisition function by optimizing recruitment strategies and processes across the TA lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage and analyze recruiting data to understand trends/opportunities and develop actionable recommendations to support overall recruitment strategy.
- Assist in the development and reporting of key metrics for the TA team, internal stakeholders, and business leaders.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas) and Workday applicant tracking system (ATS) reporting capabilities to produce accurate and timely insights to support decision-making and workforce planning efforts.
- Identify inefficiencies in existing TA processes and recommend enhancements to improve recruiter productivity and candidate/hiring manager experience.
- Lead initiatives to optimize workflows, reduce time-to-hire, and increase process consistency across hiring teams.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to document and implement best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process guidelines.
- Manage internal union award and offer letter approval processes in collaboration with Compensation and TA teams, ensuring alignment with company policies, compensation guidelines, and applicable collective bargaining agreements (CBA’s).
- Drive the adoption of technology solutions to simplify and enhance processes.
- Monitor TA budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with objectives.
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure alignment with organizational hiring needs.
- Develop tools and resources to streamline processes and reduce administrative tasks for recruiters, enabling them to focus on strategic recruitment activities.
- Facilitate ongoing training sessions for the TA team.
- Other duties and ad hoc projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, data analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in human resources or talent acquisition.
- Expert skills within Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) with advanced proficiency in Excel (including, but not limited to - VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).
- Experience in process improvement, workflow optimization, and project management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience creating and delivering executive level presentations and communicating to cross-functional audiences and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends.
- Clear, concise, and effective communicator with employees and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Experience working for a multi-state and/or global organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification (i.e., Lean Six Sigma, Analytics, PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar).
- Experience with budget and vendor management.
- Knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS), specifically Workday.
- Familiarity with additional HR technologies or data visualization tools.
- Recruiting experience.
