Pay: $18.05/hour - Attendance Incentive offered 

Work schedule: 5 am until ; must have flexible schedule  (Mon - Friday)

Job Description:

Tasks: This position will be responsible for performing Lead duties in the Hatchery facility. This position will be responsible for most hatchery monitoring tasks, all hatchery audits, and sanitation checks. This position will provide coverage as needed in general labor positions that may include, but not limited to vaccine mixing, embrexing, chick processing, egg traying, egg setting. Coverage also includes QA and separator operator job duties. The positions require the willingness to stand for extended periods; walk, bend, stretch, turn, push, pull, reach and lift no greater than 40 lbs. The position requires the willingness to work in a cold, warm, dusty, and/or damp environment. This position holder must communicate clearly with management and Team Members both orally, verbally and in writing regarding the above duties. All Tyson Foods policies must be followed to include Animal Welfare and Bio-Security guidelines. Complete all other tasks assigned by management.       

Requirements​:

Must show 3 months machine operator experience with one employer

(Must provide over 6 months of work experience listed in the application.)

Applicant must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility. Must be able to learn Tyson SAP software and perform data entry into the systems. Must be able to read and write where required. Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be willing to use both hands continuously, walk, bend and stoop during shift. Must be willing to lift 40 lbs. on a daily basis and be willing to work on your feet for a period of 10 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job. Must be willing to work in a humid, wet and dusty environment. Work schedule will be added to include holiday work and occasional weekend work.  If an applicant meets Tyson’s minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview. 2. Must possess intermediate computer skills.
3. Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety rules and operate all controls and systems.  
4. Must obtain and maintain a Tyson Operators permit.  Must have a valid Mississippi driver’s license with no more than two moving violations in the last two years to exclude D.U.I. (Driving Under the Influence) conviction on his/her Motor Vehicle Record.
5. Obtain and maintain PIT certification for pallet jack operations. 
6. Must be willing be become lock-out and tag -out certified. 
7. Must be willing to obtain and maintain Respirator fit testing certification.    

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
