About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic Practice Leader to oversee the delivery of our Integrated Family Support Services (IFSS) and Family Wellbeing Support Services (FWSS). In this leadership role, you will guide a multidisciplinary team in providing high-quality, early intervention, and family support services to children, young people, and families at risk. Your leadership will ensure service delivery is aligned with CatholicCare’s values and the latest best practice frameworks.

You will play an integral role in developing the operations of the programs in line with contract requirements, while offering supervision, training, and support to staff to ensure positive client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team delivering early intervention and family support services, ensuring service delivery aligns with program guidelines and CatholicCare's values.
  • Supervise staff, provide reflective practice, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor service delivery to ensure quality, compliance with legislation, and alignment with safeguarding principles.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen service integration and community engagement.
  • Oversee case management practices, including the development and implementation of safety plans and therapeutic interventions.
  • Support budget management, financial reporting, and resource allocation to ensure program efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records, case notes, and program evaluations.
  • Provide leadership in risk management, compliance with WHS standards, and safeguarding policies.

About You

We’re looking for a dedicated leader with substantial experience in early intervention and family support services. You will be someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, brings strong team leadership and development skills, and has a passion for delivering services that create real, lasting change in the lives of vulnerable families.

Selection Criteria

Please provide examples of your experience and knowledge in the following areas:

  1. Commitment to the mission and values of CatholicCare Tasmania as informed by the Archbishop’s Charter; and a broad understanding of the operation of the Catholic Church in Tasmania.
  2. Describe your experience in leading and supervising teams. How have you supported staff development, managed performance, and fostered a culture of quality practice and innovation?
  3. Describe your experience in delivering early intervention services to children and families. How have you applied child-focused and family-inclusive approaches in both individual and group settings? Include examples of how you’ve facilitated evidence -based group work to support wellbeing and strengthen family functioning.
  4. Provide examples of your experience in managing service delivery within early intervention or family support programs.
  5. What is your approach to managing risk and ensuring compliance with WHS standards and safeguarding policies? How have you contributed to quality assurance or audit processes in previous roles?
  6. How do you build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders? Describe your communication style and how you maintain confidentiality in your work.

Essential Requirements

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications highly regarded).
  2. Satisfactory National Police Criminal History Check.
  3. Current and valid Working with Vulnerable People registration.
  4. A current driver's license.
