Job Responsibilities:

Job Summary

The SOC Engineer maintains and enhances security operations infrastructure, focusing on scripting, tool management, and system integration to ensure effective security monitoring and response.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise wide SIEM, SOAR and EDR solutions, including integration of various log sources and regular tuning to optimize performance.
• Implement and manage threat intelligence feeds to enhance detection capabilities.
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate security operations and engineering tasks.
• Create and maintain documentation for security tool configurations, engineering processes, and procedures.
• Collaborate closely with SOC analysts to improve the SOC’s capabilities.
• Conduct regular assessments of security tools and configurations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in SOC Engineering or similar role.
• Advanced experience in cybersecurity, specializing in SIEM & SOAR.
• Proficient in log collection, normalization, correlation and analysis.
• Experienced with Cloud platforms and their respective components.
• Skilled with DevOps practices and tools, capable of designing CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledgeable in network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security.
• Advanced coding and scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Working Conditions

On-call availability and working outside regular hours may be required.

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
