We’re looking for an Infrastructure Engineering Lead to join our IaaS 2.x / Edge Squad. In this remote role based in Vietnam, you’ll lead a team of engineers and work with Product, Portfolio, and Operations to drive the security, scalability, and reliability of Vault Cloud’s platforms.
Your expertise in OpenStack, Ceph, and Kubernetes will form the backbone of our next-generation infrastructure, delivering seamless and resilient experiences for our customers. Beyond technology, you’ll inspire your team, foster collaboration, and turn complex challenges into milestones of innovation.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Leading and inspiring your team of engineers, fostering excellence, accountability, and collaboration while coaching and mentoring to maintain high performance standards.
- Driving infrastructure growth and innovation, leveraging your expertise in OpenStack, Ceph, and Kubernetes to build a robust, scalable, and resilient platform.
- Designing and architecting systems, collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into sound technical requirements and enterprise-wide product designs.
- Owning the SDLC, shaping Vault’s tooling, processes, and DevOps practices, ensuring code quality through reviews, standards, and continuous improvement.
- Planning and delivery, working across product teams to define backlog items, assess complexity, and align engineering resources for successful outcomes.
- Acting as a subject matter expert, staying current in core technologies, providing design insights, and driving technical excellence across the organisation.
To be successful you will be able to demonstrate with:
- Deep OpenStack expertise with hands-on experience across core components (Nova, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, Neutron) and proven capability in OpenStack deployment and management.
- Specialisation in storage solutions, particularly Ceph (RBD & RadosGW) and Swift, with broad technical knowledge spanning compute, storage, and networking.
- Leadership and mentoring skills, demonstrated through guiding technical teams, delivering complex projects, and developing junior engineers to achieve outcomes.
- Automation and DevOps proficiency with real-world experience using industry-standard toolkits (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Puppet, Chef).
- Executive communication ability, with a track record of presenting complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders in clear, compelling ways.
- Innovation and adaptability, proven by delivering proof-of-concepts for emerging technologies and applying enterprise-level QA processes and tools.
