Technical Product Manager - Electrical

We are looking for an innovative Technical Product Manager - specialising in Automotive electrical - to join our team at either Ingleburn or Goulburn office. The role is an important function within Hidrive that will manage the electrical product portfolio of our range; understanding the market and strategically plan for new products and updates.

About You

This role sits within the Engineering Department and reports directly to the National Technical Manager. We are seeking candidates with a solid background in the manufacturing industry, strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and ideally a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or a related qualification (relevant trade experience will also be considered).

Experience in product management and exposure to automotive electrical accessories will be highly regarded, though not essential. If you are proactive, well-organised, and thrive in a collaborative environment - working closely with teams across sales, marketing, supply chain, operations, and customer care - then this is an excellent opportunity for you.

Key Accountabilities

• Create, Control and Manage Item data, ensure it is up to date and accurate.
• Manage price lists and product updates and ensure change control PCNs are implemented.
• Develop product requirement document to define scope and deliverables for new products and product improvements.
• Understand the market and ensure that Hidrive remains competitive and the market leader.
• Define application of new and existing products to ensure relevance in existing and future markets.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, supply chain, operations and customer care teams.
• Collaborate with Operations on new product or product changes and quality issues.
• Develop and maintain a product road map.
• Support, assess and complete product change notices (PCN) with the PCN owners.
• Create and implement product bulletins to notify internal customers.
• Manage design manual updates and maintain stock build specifications.
• Support costing of custom products to meet customers’ needs in alignment with the Product Focus matrix.
• Create reports on portfolio performance.
