Full Time

We welcome you to an ambitious and growing global company, where we take pride in what we achieve together.

Join Hempel, a leading global coatings manufacturer committed to sustainability and innovation. Our marine solutions help customers save millions of tones of fuel and significantly reduce CO₂ emissions. To achieve this, we leverage internal and external data to power BI tools, guide sustainable customer solutions, and streamline data flows across teams and systems.

We are now looking for a BI Developer (fixed-term contract) to join our Marine Data and Technology team. In this role, you’ll optimize our analytics tools and enable data-driven decision-making. You’ll work with international colleagues on topics such as hull coating efficiency, regulatory strategies, and sustainability, while supporting advanced digital solutions for our clients.

This is a 1-year maternity cover, based in Copenhagen (Denmark), Gdansk (Poland), or Athens (Greece). It offers the opportunity to collaborate globally, grow your skills, and make a real impact during your time with us.

What you can look forward to in this Role:

  • Maintaining and improving BI tools, including dashboards, calculations, and the development of clear visualizations and overviews to support internal data evaluation processes.
  • Developing new Power BI dashboards based on expert input and opportunity to also work on front-end development in our web portal tools and solutions.
  • Opportunity to work with underlying databases and flows including SQL queries, API pipelines and data enhancement.
  • Train sales colleagues in the use of BI tools and dashboards.
  • Extracting knowledge for predictive models from existing data.
  • A maternity cover, fixed-term contract that gives you the chance to make an impact from day one.

What does it take to become our new team member?

  • A technical background in mathematics, engineering, or similar fields.
  • Experience with Power BI and/or other BI / front-end visualization tools.
  • Basic coding/programming skills and understanding (Python, SQL or similar).
  • Proficiency in English (corporate language).
  • Good communication skills in English and desire to work with cross functional teams with diversified backgrounds.

Global Career Possibilities

In Hempel we offer a variety of global career possibilities and many cross functional and cross-cultural working relationships. We strive to build the right conditions for personal and professional development.
