About You:

As a Finance Officer, you are responsible for managing accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring payments and receipts are accurate and timely. You also support property and fleet management, contribute to a range of accounting functions, and assist with ad-hoc tasks as directed by the Finance Team Leader. Your strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and commitment to accuracy ensure smooth financial operations across the organisation.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of customer payments and NDIS claims.
  • Process accounts payable, including property, vendor, and operational invoices.
  • Maintain property and lease records, liaising with managers and councils for compliance.
  • Oversee vehicle fleet management, including maintenance, repairs, and insurance coordination.
  • Prepare financial and fleet reports for management and support audit requirements.
  • Assist with ad-hoc accounting tasks and process improvements as directed by the Finance Team Leader.

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Strong experience in accounts payable/receivable, general ledger reconciliation, and journal entries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and intermediate Microsoft Word proficiency.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Accounting degree or relevant tertiary qualification with at least 2 years’ experience.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Familiarity with NDIS processes.
