Senior Backend Developer (Java)

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join us at Telia.

I’m Liudas Markevičius, Head of Core Digital Services, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a result oriented, forward-thinking team focused on developing next-generation self-service portal.

What You’Ll Do:

Design, build, and continuously improve the backend powering our self-service portal while collaborating with a cross-functional team and other business stakeholders. You will:

• Define, prioritize, and refine the backend roadmap, balancing scalability, cost, and reliability.
• Design secure, high-performance cloud-native microservices on AWS.
• Write, review, and test clean code to maintain a healthy codebase and ensure smooth releases.
• Integrate security checks, logging, and monitoring from the start to proactively identify issues.

This position would be a great opportunity for someone who is a proactive problem-solver with a structured, analytical mindset and would like to grow into tech lead role in the future. You also need to have:

• Proven experience working with Java, Springboot (developing different products/features or working with multiple projects)
• Knowledge and experience of microservices and RESTful API design and implementation
• Ability to JUnit test including unit testing and integration testing
• Experience working with collaborative development workflows

Monthly salary range for this position - 4300-6400 Eur (gross) + annual performance bonus. Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
