Essential Capabilities

•Provide SAP Basis and Security technical support to production and non-production systems•Provide resolutions to technical problems related to all SAP Basis, Security, and Enterprise Integration (Ariba, SCPI integration) and Cloud platforms. •Perform SAP OSDB/Cloud Migration, Homo/Heterogeneous System Copy, data masking, S4HANA Upgrade/Conversion. •Admin and manage SAP databases, including backups, restores, and performance tuning. •Monitor SAP system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing system performance•Manage transport requests, ensuring changes are moved between different SAP environments. •Apply SAP support packages, patches, and kernel upgrades to maintain system stability and enhance functionality. •Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity.•Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, including database problems, network connectivity, and application performance issues. •Manage user accounts, roles, and authorizations within the SAP system. •Understand various operating systems like Windows Server and Linux. •Understand network concepts like routers, firewalls, DNS servers, and VPN technologies. •Perform SAP Security administration such as role build, modifications, security monitoring and internal/external auditing. ••

Experience

It is expected that the role holder will most likely have the following experience:

•Successfully completed multiple full lifecycle projects as a lead SAP Basis and Security consultant •10 Years+ proven experience as lead SAP Basis and Security Consultant •Proven experience with Active Directory/SAML integration for SSO.•Active participant in all phases of multiple life cycle implementations in various roles such as SAP Infrastructure Design/Technology Lead/ Basis Administrator/ Security/ Portal Administrator/Solution Manager Administrator/ MSSQL and Oracle Database Administrator.  •Extensive work experience in all aspects of implementation, support, troubleshooting and tuning in an array of SAP solutions including HANA, ECC6, NetWeaver,  PI/PO, Enterprise Portal, Solution Manager 7.2, TDMS 4.0, SAP GRC/Virsa, Gateway, SAP Router, SAP Frontend Technologies, Web Dispatcher, Fiori, etc. •Expertise in configuring SAP systems for non-SAP applications such as Netbackup, BMC Patrol, RMAN, Tivoli for SAP, Microsoft clustering.•SAP Migration/Infrastructure Expert with extensive experience in:–Sizing, Provisioning, Landscape Design, Planning, Implementation & Optimization. –Cloud Migrations/Virtualizations, in Private (IBM/Vmware/OVM) and Public (AWS/Azure) cloud domains, Hybrid domains. –OSDB Migrations and Unicode Conversions in Linux/Unix/Windows/Oracle/MSSQL environments. –High availability/DR solutions such as Symantec Veritas, Symantec AppHA, VMware HA, Microsoft Clustering and Oracle Data Guard. •Expertise in Security roles design, modifications, organizational hierarchy/position based role definition and segregation of duties rules. •Expert in Troubleshooting, incident and problem management, Performance Tuning.•Extensive experience collaborating with Security, Networks, Functional and Hardware Architects in a multi-vendor environment delivering quality cloud solutions. •Worked on latest SAP Cloud offerings in a hybrid implementation – Ariba, SCPI integration with on-premise or cloud systems.•Experienced in IT Service management including risk management•Solid understanding of current and emerging SAP technology trends around SAP ECC 6, S4Hana, BTP etc•Previous experience with integration between SAP and to other third-party systems (both cloud and on-premise)•Experience in an onshore/offshore delivery model

Qualification Requirements

•Degree or tertiary education in Technology/Computing discipline•Certifications in SAP

•Shape, design, develop, document, test, deploy SAP admin changes

•Work with the team to deliver on backlog

•Take assigned initiatives from inception to successful change deployment, with focus of on time delivery and high-quality outcomes (zero incident implementation)•Support and resolution of any Production support incidents should they arise through hypercare•Stakeholder engagement –  recognised as ‘trusted advisor’ to the business•Voice of the colleague – positive stakeholder feedback for role in successful delivery
