General Sales Manager – Noble Toyota & Noble Volkswagen

Used Cars are the heartbeat of this role. We want a leader who lives and breathes stock - sourcing it, presenting it, pricing it and moving it quickly while building a high-tenure, high-performance team.

Your Role

Lead the sales teams for both Noble Toyota and Noble Volkswagen with a sharp focus on Used Cars and a disciplined New-to-Used balance. You will:

  • Own Used Cars end-to-end: prospect, appraise, buy and trade; set reconditioning standards; price to market; manage online listings; and drive days-in-stock down while lifting gross and volume.
  • Source stock creatively: build a buying network (service lane, database, private sellers, trades, auctions, wholesalers, digital tools) to keep the yard full of the right mix.
  • Present a yard that sells: merchandising, photography, imagery standards, point-of-sale, and lot flow that converts foot traffic to deals.
  • Set the pace on the floor: coach, desk and close deals; run daily huddles; build process discipline; lift appointment-to-show and show-to-sold.
  • Hit the numbers: volume, gross, F&I penetration, add-ons, CSI, stock turn, ageing and reconditioning cycle times.
  • Run tight processes: appraisals, purchase justifications, pricing reviews, trade valuations, buy/sell decisions, and compliant paperwork.
  • Bridge the brands: protect distinct Toyota and Volkswagen customer experiences while sharing best practice across both sites.
  • Collaborate across the dealership: Service, Parts, Finance & Insurance, Marketing—one team delivering “The Noble Way.”

What You’Ll Bring

  • Proven Used Car leadership (ideally 3–5+ yrs at GSM/Used Car Manager level) with a track record in sourcing, pricing, presentation and stock turn.
  • Deal-making DNA: you can appraise quickly, desk strong deals, and make smart retail vs wholesale calls.
  • Commercial discipline: comfortable with KPIs, P&L levers, ageing policy, and market-based pricing.
  • People leadership: recruit, train and retain high performers; hold standards; have the tough conversations well.
  • Digital fluency: confident with listings, pricing and lead tools (e.g., AutoGate/Dealer Solutions, AutoGrab/market intel, CRM/DMS, photography standards).
  • Customer obsession: build advocates, protect CSI, and deliver brand-right experiences for both Toyota & Volkswagen.
  • Licence & compliance: current driver’s licence; sound knowledge of NSW motor dealer compliance.
  • Nice to have: auction/buyer accreditation, reconditioning workflow know-how, and experience launching or scaling a used-car department.
