Role: Area Manager
Location: South Gloucestershire - This is a working from home role, but you will be expected to travel to Banes and Bristol on a regular basis to visit and support the services.
Contract/Hours: Permanent, Part-time (working 18.5 hours a week).
Salary: £46,100 per annum pro rata.

A Bit About The Role:
As Area manager you will manage and provide high quality leadership, direction, and support to two Registered Manages and their teams within South Gloucestershire and North Somerset services, ensuring that all quality, safety, budgetary and performance standards are met and sustained. Ensuring the home complies with quality home standards.
You will also be expected to take on the role of Responsible Individual for these services in line with Ofsted regulations.
A bit about the services
You will be overseeing two residential services for disabled children and young people with complex needs including health needs aged between 5- 18years.
One service is a 4 bed long stay home offering a stable environment to support the children and young people in a safe loving and home.
The second service is a short breaks home for up to six children and young people to provide a fun and safe environment for them on their regular stays. The young people will be given the opportunity to socialise with others to give parents and careers time to re charge their batteries.

- Manage and help guide Registered Managers to lead teams of professional social care staff.
- Liaise with our key Stakeholders within and outside Action for Children.
- Collection of data analysis.
- Travel to services to provide support and guidance.
- Manage budgets

- The L5 Leadership Qualification or working towards.
- Ability to be able to develop and maintain effective networks, relationships, partnerships, and contacts to improve service and financial outcomes.
- To be able to successfully manage and deliver placement / commissioned services.
- Experience of managing and developing operational services for children, young people and their families, particularly residential services.
- Ability to lead, motivate and manage a range of social care and support staff.
- Ability to improve service provision through the workforce, addressing challenges within the management of people and service provision (improving employee performance).
