As the Information Security Operations Manager you are responsible for protecting FCT’s computers, networks and data against security threats. The role will oversee the Security Operations team leading the execution and evolution of the following key processes;

1) Security monitoring
2) Critical security incident response
3) Critical vulnerability response
4) Threat Intelligence Driven Detection and Response
5) Operational Engagement in Offensive Security
6) Cloud Security Enablement and Operational Integration

In addition to operational expertise, you will assist in the defining the vision of the core cybersecurity information technology systems and initiatives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders ensuring solutions meet the needs of the organization and the cybersecurity operations team.

To be successful you will lead a team that focuses on evolving the company’s security controls and advancing the organization’s security operations by shaping threat-informed defense strategies and integrating cloud security practices into operational workflows. You will guide the assessment of security risks in architectures and business solutions, contribute to the development and implementation of security policies and standards, and support the continuous evolution of the information security strategy. You will play a key role in developing, managing, monitoring and presenting objectives, and components of cybersecurity projects including the formation and evolution of Red/Blue team principles. You will provide support to the CISO for strategic initiatives and perform the duties of the acting-CISO when required.

Here’S How You’Ll Contribute:

  • Working with the CIO and CISO establish the strategic plans for evolving the Cybersecurity program and identify specific projects to implement the plans.
  • Work with IT and business leaders to understand requirements and create security solutions that reduce risk and enable secure business operations.
  • Lead cybersecurity improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Perform duties of acting-CISO such as department escalation/supervision when required.
  • Provide SecOps team leadership by creating clear direction and productive culture through measurable goals in pursuit of the overall security strategic roadmap.
  • Continuously improve the existing Security Incident Response process and procedures
  • Partner with technical teams to provide threat intelligence, incident response and network security to identify, automate and eliminate threats to the company.
  • Work with security vendors from selection to ongoing operations
  • Manage open audit issues and drive to closure to meet commitments.
  • Assist in the development of training and awareness materials providing training when required.

Here’S What You’Ll Bring:

  • Undergraduate degree preferred; B.S./B.A. Computer Science, Management Information Systems; Security certification such as CISSP is an asset.
  • Minimum 6+ years of IT experience with progressive responsibilities, and with at least 3 years of Cyber Security protection experience.
  • Experience with standards or best practices such as PCI, CIS and NIST
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written), with comfort reporting into senior and executive leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated success with the planning and execution of security projects.
  • Prior success working within a security framework and delivering on a security program (e.g., end point security, corporate access control & identity systems, vulnerability management, operations security, user security education, risk management, and compliance support)
  • Knowledge of information security technologies, markets and vendors such as SIEM, firewall, intrusion detection, assessment tools, end point protection
  • Familiar with blue team accountabilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills that incorporate business requirements and balance security controls to reach shared success.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and conflicting priorities
  • Action oriented, enthusiastic about progress and committed to accountability of self and team.
