Your Role

As the Deputy Financial Lines Manager, your role will focus on enhancing profit, growth, service, and producer relations within our Financial Lines Team. You will act as a senior technical underwriter, managing renewal accounts and new business, while fostering key relationships with customers and brokers. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve financial goals for Financial Lines, including underwriting profit and premium growth.
  • Develop business strategies and analyse market opportunities while addressing any issues in the book of business.
  • Foster relationships with brokers, develop sales strategies, and oversee effective sales pipelines.
  • Ensure adherence to underwriting standards and improve quality through audits and documentation.
  • Recruit, manage, and develop a skilled team, conducting performance evaluations and identifying training needs.
  • Control expenses in line with budgets and service standards. 

Your Skills & Experience

  • Deep understanding of Financial Lines insurance and strong underwriting skills.
  • Capacity to creatively solve underwriting challenges and develop marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with pricing techniques, competitor products, and claims analysis.
  • People leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success in growing a portfolio and results driven
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to leverage Chubb’s global capabilities.
