This position reports to the Manager, Regulatory Affairs

Salary : $78 170 to $102 600

*Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.

  • How you will make contributions that matter:
  • Regulatory Evaluation – Assess ingredients, labels, and products for compliance with food safety and dairy regulations
  • Documentation & Submissions – Prepare and manage regulatory documents for audits, inspections, and approvals
  • Compliance Management – Ensure adherence to domestic and international regulatory standards and manage non-conformities
  • Cross-Functional Support – Provide regulatory guidance to internal teams and respond to customer inquiries
  • Risk Assessment – Evaluate regulatory risks for new formulations, processes, and packaging
  • Imported Goods Approval – Manage regulatory processes for imported finished products
  • System & Workflow Optimization – Maintain regulatory data systems and improve labeling and documentation workflows
  • Regulatory Intelligence – Stay current with evolving regulations and support their implementation
  • Process Improvement – Contribute to initiatives that enhance regulatory efficiency and responsiveness
  • Team Collaboration – Support onboarding, team communication, and project tracking
  • You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Regulatory Affairs, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory affairs or compliance, ideally within the food or dairy industry
  • Strong understanding of Canadian regulatory frameworks, with practical experience in regulatory evaluations, labeling, and documentation
  • Proficiency in regulatory systems such as TraceGains, Genesis, and InRiver PIM is an asset
  • Advanced skills in Office 365 and SharePoint, with the ability to manage and optimize digital documentation workflows
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is essential for effective communication across teams and with external stakeholders throughout Canada
  • Demonstrated ability to execute regulatory tasks independently, including risk assessments, product reviews, and submission preparation
  • Detail-oriented and analytical, with a continuous learning mindset and strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, and contributing to cross-functional teams
  • Curious, autonomous, and collaborative, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
