- Position Overview:
- The Litigation Desk Adjuster reports directly to the Litigation Supervisor and maintains the work flow and daily duties required on litigious files.
- Job Duties:
- • Communicate with independent adjusters, desk adjusters, attorneys and other experts to gather information on claims
- • Negotiate settlements with the insured and/or their representatives
- • Discuss litigation strategy and exposure, and potential settlement of lawsuits with the Litigation supervisor
- • Review and process invoices
- • Manage workload and provide management with reports as needed
- • Regular and reliable attendance
- Skill and Experience Requirements:
- • Experience in the legal field preferred
- • Experience in Florida insurance laws and claims
- • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- • Must have communication skills and interpersonal skills
- • Ability to multi-task; Some degrees of creativity and latitude is a plus
- • Must possess a Florida 5-20 Insurance License
- • A minimum of 2 years
