Project Director

The Project Director Will Lead And Oversee The End-To-End Delivery Of A Large-Scale Industrial Project In India, Ensuring Successful Completion Within Scope, Budget, Timeline, And Quality Parameters While Managing Complex Stakeholder Relationships And Regulatory Compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute comprehensive project strategy and roadmap
• Establish project governance framework and organizational structure
• Drive strategic decision-making and escalation resolution
• Ensure alignment with corporate objectives and local market requirements

Project Management

• Oversee all phases from inception to commissioning and handover
• Manage project budgets (typically ₹500 crores to ₹5,000+ crores)
• Develop and monitor critical path schedules and milestones
• Implement risk management strategies and contingency planning
• Ensure quality assurance and safety compliance throughout project lifecycle

Stakeholder Management

• Interface with senior executives, board members, and investors
• Manage relationships with government authorities and regulatory bodies
• Coordinate with local communities and environmental agencies
• Lead client relationships and manage expectations
• Oversee vendor, contractor, and consultant relationships

Team Leadership

• Build and lead multidisciplinary project teams (50-500+ members)
• Manage matrix organizations across engineering, procurement, construction
• Develop talent and succession planning
• Foster collaborative culture across diverse teams

Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Indian industrial regulations and standards
• Navigate environmental clearances and statutory approvals
• Manage land acquisition and local government interfaces
• Oversee HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) protocols

Leadership Competencies

• Strategic thinking and business acumen
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
• Cross-cultural management capabilities
• Crisis management and problem-solving abilities
