Schedule:
  • 40 hours per week
  • 9am-6pm St. Paul, MN Time (8 hours but extended for a 1 hour unpaid break) with some flexibility around campaign deadlines


OVERVIEW: 
We are seeking a highly creative and technically skilled Graphic Designer / Creative Specialist to join the company. This role will be responsible for bringing all design and creative production in-house, working closely with our marketing, revenue and social media teams to produce high-impact, on-brand creative assets.
The ideal candidate is not just a designer but a creative director who can interpret creative briefs, direct aesthetics, and produce original layouts—not simply rely on Canva templates. This person must be fluent in AI-driven creative tools, video production workflows, and cross-functional collaboration.


Key Responsibilities

Creative Direction & Design
  • Design and art direct creative assets (ads, graphics, landing pages, social media visuals, campaign collateral).
  • Demonstrate strong portfolio work showing original layouts, design direction, and aesthetic decisions, not just templated work.
  • Translate creative briefs into compelling design concepts that align with brand guidelines and campaign goals.
  • Ensure design consistency and quality across all platforms.
AI-Driven Creative Production
  • Create photo realistic imagery and branded creative using AI prompting tools such as MidJourney, Flow, Google Gemini, and Nano Banana.
  • Generate and iterate MidJourney prompts to produce assets that reflect campaign direction and brand voice.
  • Leverage AI video generation tools to support PPC and social content campaigns.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with the PPC team to design ad creatives that drive measurable results.
  • Collaborate with social media manager to develop content that scales across multiple platforms.
  • Provide creative direction on campaign concepts and ensure alignment between marketing, PPC, and executive teams.

Video & Motion
  • Use CapCut and other editing tools to design and produce short-form video content for ads and ongoing social media content.
  • Support the production of branded motion assets, ensuring engagement and compliance with legal industry standards.

Design Tools & Workflow
  • Build and maintain assets in Figma for more complex collaborative design and versioning.
  • Be fluent in Canva for quick adaptations, but demonstrate strong ability to go beyond templates.
  • Manage design workflows, deadlines, and approvals with the marketing team.

Social Media & Website Management
  • Manage social media content scheduling and publishing within HubSpot, ensuring alignment with marketing and PPC campaigns.
  • Coordinate content calendars, publish approved assets, and monitor performance.
  • Support the marketing team with basic website updates (text, images, page layouts) to keep Holt Law’s digital presence current.
  • Ensure all web and social updates follow brand guidelines and messaging standards.

Tools / Platforms to Prioritize

  • Design & AI: Canva, MidJourney, Flow, Google Gemini, NanoBanana
  • Video: CapCut (short-form video editing, ad creative, reels, TikTok)
  • Content & Social: HubSpot (for newsletters + scheduling), WordPress (basic web updates), Native posting (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube)

Success Metrics

  • Ability to consistently turn b-roll video & images into content using CapCut
  • Proficiency in using AI image & video generation tools to create photorealistic ad creatives and supporting content.
  • Maintain a steady content volume for PPC + social campaigns that drives measurable engagement & lead growth


Requirements

 
  • Strong portfolio showcasing original graphic design, layouts, and campaign work.
  • Demonstrated expertise in AI-driven content creation (MidJourney, Flow, Gemini, Nano Banana, ChatGPT etc.).
  • Proven ability to art direct and creative direct projects from concept through execution.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Canva, and CapCut.
  • Comfortable designing across print, digital, and video formats.
  • Experience working alongside PPC and social media teams.
  • Strong aesthetic judgment and ability to deliver on tight timelines.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
