Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team in Riyadh.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience working with international law firms or as in-house counsel for multinational companies. This role requires a strong background in reviewing tenders, advising on risks, negotiating contracts, managing disputes, overseeing external counsel, and ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards.
What You'll Be Doing;
- Review and analyze tender documents to identify legal and contractual risks, and provide strategic advice to mitigate them.
- Negotiate and draft complex contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure alignment with company policies and objectives.
- Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters.
- Manage disputes, including overseeing litigation and arbitration processes, and liaising with external counsel as needed.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and advise on best practices.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company’s operations and provide proactive guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives while minimizing legal risks.
What Required Skills You'll Bring;
- A law degree from a recognized university and admission to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction.
- A minimum of 12 years of post-qualification experience, with a combination of experience in international law firms and in-house roles for multinational companies.
- GCC Experience
- Proven expertise in contract negotiation, risk assessment, and dispute resolution.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors is a plus.
- Arabic language is a plus.
