Wayfinders is Fujitsu’s new business and technology management consulting firm built for the AI era. The mission of Wayfinders is to help customers define how they should harness the power of technology to outperform their peers and drive new frontiers of growth and profitability. We help customers from opportunity to outcome; we work with them to develop their strategy, implement it at scale, and maximize their return on investment. We do all this by weaving AI into our consulting process and building our customers’ capabilities so they can leverage AI at scale across their enterprise.

Position Overview: Wayfinders Managing Consultant 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Consultant to join our team. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and hands-on manager with expertise in technology strategy, digital transformation, and AI strategy. The ideal candidate will have prior management roles in consulting engagements in these areas. They should be able to manage consultants, own workstreams and deliverable development, contribute to formulation of go-to-market offerings, and contribute to business development activities. We are seeking great team players who are entrepreneurial and passionate about customer success.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership

  • Lead small engagements or a major workstream within complex, multi-disciplinary technology engagements.
  • Own development of client deliverables, keep track of progress, and provide regular status updates.
  • Manage multiple stakeholder groups and balance sometimes competing agendas.

Practice Development

  • Work with Senior Managing Consultants and Associate Partners to develop standard frameworks, deliverable templates, and accelerators.
  • Capture and share lessons learned and improvement opportunities for active engagements.
  • Assist with research on leading industry trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Support practice building efforts such as recruiting, onboarding, training, and knowledge management.

Business Development

  • Draft significant portions of RFP responses, proposals, and client presentations; manage junior resources contributing to these initiatives.
  • Identity cross-/up-sell and downstream opportunities.
  • Support execution of marketing campaigns.

Required Skills & Experience

Consulting & Industry Experience

  • Lead quantitative and qualitative analyses to uncover client opportunities and shape recommendations.   
  • Build comprehensive value cases and financial models for technology and business transformations. 
  • Facilitate client interviews, workshops, and maturity assessments using standard frameworks and benchmarking tools.
  • Tailor tone and content to align with client pain points, industry benchmarks, and best practices.

Leadership & Influence

  • Engage with senior-level client stakeholders to build trust and credibility.
  • Exhibit strong people-leadership skills, including team building, coaching, and performance management.
  • Mentor and guide teams of analysts and consultants to foster high performing culture.

Fujitsu salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. ​ It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $140,000 to $180,000 USD.  Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short-term incentive based on company results and individual performance.
