Financial Analyst, Workforce and Payroll, Platforms and Devices

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
• Experience with analytical and financial modeling.
• Experience with SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with building data infrastructure (e.g., designing architecture, building data pipelines, implementing scalable monitoring) and implementing reporting solutions.
• Experience in developing strategies in fast-paced competitive environments, impeccable business judgment for resource allocation decisions to achieve the desired business outcome.
• Ability to take ownership, confidence to interact with all levels, set objectives, drive results, and be a team player.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, concise insights.
• Ability to query large, complex datasets, and to work with a wide variety of departments.
• Excellent communication skills.

As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

In this role, you will work across the Platforms and Devices (P&D) PA portfolio of businesses, including Android, Chrome, Play, XR and Made by Google devices. Your work enables Platforms and Devices Googlers to make radically better products to bring the best of Google to everyone.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end monthly adjusted plan and forecast cycles for headcount and all associated costs (salary, bonus, equity).
• Develop and maintain robust reporting packages for leadership, provide clear, actionable insights into headcount trends, variance analysis, and payroll actuals versus plan.
• Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to support annual planning, long-range planning, scenario analysis, and Ad-hoc requests from key stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive modeling tools, analyze inputs and prepare executive presentations throughout the planning process while managing several stakeholders.
• Serve as the trusted financial partner to P&D leadership and their Chiefs of Staff. Confidently present findings, answer detailed inquiries, and provide strategic recommendations in high-level meetings.
