Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in performing exams, diagnostic procedures, and treatments, and minor medical procedures, including biopsies, Mohs closures, laser treatments and lid lifts.
• Responsible for the daily maintenance of the laboratory area and equipment logs.
• Collects updated patient information and charts patient exams in the EMR within the time parameters of the patient appointment.
• Handles patients' private health information within the guidelines of HIPAA and company privacy practices.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed.
• Provide patient education materials and communicate physician advice/instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Minnesota.
• Willingness and ability to work and travel between all five clinic locations in Vadnais Heights, Woodbury, Eagan and Lakeville, MN and Hudson, WI.
• BLS or CPR certified or willingness to become certified.
• Valid Driver’s License
• A resident of Minnesota/Western Wisconsin or in the process of relocating to Minnesota.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience managing patient health information within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• 1+ year of experience working within specialty care.
